| Abstract |
Since the SARS crisis in 2003, emergency response has been an issue of more importance in China and gradually become a major part of the governance of Chinese government. However, due to traditional bureaucracy of Chinese emergency management system, it is difficult to overcome contradiction between hierarchical management and horizontally integrated management which is essential for current emergency response. Smart city and the corresponding management mode provide an approach to eliminate this fundamental contradiction and make the emergency management system scientific and reasonable. This paper proposes some suggestions for the promotion of Chinese emergency management system from the perspective of smart city. |
