Smart City (SC) is the product of The Internet of Things (JOT) combined deeply with the Cloud Computing, Mobile Internet, Big Data and other information technology which meets the sustainable urban development needs; it shows the depth of integration of information technology, industrialization and urbanization. This paper will analyze the Smart City and its development in China by the theory of public administration and governance, and explain the opportunity of constructing Smart City made by China's new urbanization. And on this basis it will go on to describe the Smart City's general meaning and the special significance for China, focus on the construction and governance of Smart City in the process of China's new urbanization, especially on the achievements and problems, and propose the mode and strategy of the construction and governance of Smart City in China. |
