Abstract |
A lot of data and data processing functionalities are available in the context of Smart City and Internet of Things and Services. These capabilities are accessible via services and offered via service marketplaces. Marketplaces enable service trading functionalities to their participants. It is observed that the number of service marketplaces is growing. This makes an assessment according to the systems implementation and capabilities a difficult and cumbersome task. In this paper, a maturity framework is developed which enables the comparison of service marketplaces. The framework constitutes of a questionnaire and an assessment matrix, both based on expert interviews and literature. The framework assesses the maturity levels of a solution's implementation and capabilities. Existing service provisioning solutions are assessed and their maturity levels compared and discussed to demonstrate the maturity model's applicability. The elaborated framework provides a method to evaluate a solution's strengths and possible fields for improvements. It furthermore enables a quantitative comparison of existing service solutions applied in a smart city context. |
