Abstract |
The aim of this article is to perform a systematic review of the research methods that are identified in the production of knowledge about circular economy practices, considering the literature indexed in the Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, Sage, Wiley Online Library, Emerald and Proquest. The results indicate the predominance of theoretical studies and case studies as main methods used for research on circular economy practices, demonstrating the latent attempt to consolidate the theme as a research locus. The use of theoretical reviews and case studies are common in less consolidated and emerging issues. It is suggested that there be greater attention on the part of the researchers regarding the procedures adopted and their description in an appropriate way in the reports, necessary action so that the studies can be replicated or compared with other findings. The fragility of the method can be met by the use of more consolidated methods, such as qualitative case studies, for the cases that carry it, or several alternatives of quantitative methods. |
