Abstract |
A suitable combined laboratory experiment can involve more chemical disciplines and form students' views on practical connections. A laboratory experiment has been prepared focusing on the adsorption of the dangerous Co(II) ion using natural adsorbents representing waste material of a polysaccharide and keratin nature. Efficiency of Co(I1) adsorption has been analyzed using an atomic adsorption spectroscopy method, and the adsorption results have been mutually compared. The students have acquired basic skills with an application of batch adsorption as well as with a spectral determination of the Co (II) adsorbate quantity. The importance of the experiment can be reflected in the context of the protection of the environment as well as circular economics. |
