Abstract Sustainable development is a questioned philosophy, with theories shaped by people's and organisations' different worldviews, which in turn affect how issues are formulated and actions proposed. It is generally offered as the connection between environment, society and economy, which are considered of as discrete although associated units. The current use of sustainable development is presented, the encouraging of ICT involvement towards sustainable development from the EU and more importantly the emphasis on economic sustainable development, which is a very important issue in society today. They are interrelated, with the economy dependent on society and the environment whereas social presence and humanity are dependent on to the environment. Next we will present green sustainable tourism, which includes some principles and policy prescriptions, in order to have development and environmental protection simultaneously. Next we deliver some definitions of sustainable development, (eco) systems perspective, green marketing, etc. Furthermore, we present sustainable tourism, green tourism in other words and how fundamental it is in maintaining and improving EU position in world tourism. Finally, we deliver digital practices of innovative ICT systems and network tools, which in general improve the relationship between marketers and clients.
