The overall objective of this paper is to make a case for the argument, that coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic will affect the implementation of the new EU green strategy. On the basis of the review and critical analysis of source materials, the objectives of the European Green Deal will be presented in the article, as well as the diverse approach of different member countries to this new initiative. As a result, the unexpected impact of a coronavirus pandemic on the implementation of this strategy is demonstrated.
