| Abstract |
The problem related to the introduction in Poland of a package of political initiatives called the European Green Deal to direct the EU countries towards green transformation and achieving climate neutrality by 2050, was presented. An anal. of the condition of the Polish energy sector, which is mostly based on coal, was carried out and the challenges related to the energy transformation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to inefficient system heating, which requires transition away from coal and complete restructuring. One of the most important opportunities for the Polish economy was seen in the Just Transition Fund, which is a financial instrument under the Cohesion Policy. |
