Abstract |
Given the current situation of volatility in the European energy market, policies aimed at achieving a clean sustainable energy transition are beginning to be deployed. In these policies, the figure of the prosumer and the integration of renewable energy sources at the household level are essential. Thus, in this context, decisions made by individual citizens will have a large impact on the overall social welfare, so it is important to understand and model the factors involved in their decision making. By doing so, it will be possible to anticipate and assess the overall impact of different policies and incentives. In this paper, we have derived an expression that captures the main economic factors involved in the decision to become a prosumer at the household level, considering the recent updates of the Spanish electricity market regulation. This work will serve as a basis for the development of prosumer behaviour models. |
