Abstract |
Climate changes nowadays and the human world is trying to respond appropriately to all related challenges. In this regard the European Commission started talks about a future Green Deal, one of which aims is to reduce drastically the transport pollution, by replacing internal combustion engine vehicles with electric ones. The aim of the paper is to present the results of a seven years study and experiences on design, performance and riding cost of an electric bicycle, being one of the smallest representatives of electric vehicles on the market. Our experiences answer the questions: how much sustainable, affordable, accessible and healthier could electric vehicles actually be. |
