Abstract As the European Union adopted the Green Deal [1] and proposed the framework for achieving climate neutrality by the end of 2050 [2], industrial end-users are more focused than ever on achieving the highest possible environmental impact reduction. The main focus of future investment in the industrial sector will now be on diminishing the CO2, eq emissions, in order to maintain financial stability, especially in the context of the fourth phase of the EU-ETS mechanism [3], which implies a constant reduction in the number of CO2 certificates allocation until 2030. This will lead to a potential decrease of investment in the electricity end-use efficiency of various industrial sectors. In this paper, the economic impact generated by the power transformers in various industrial endusers boundaries, relative to actual operating scenarios was analysed in order to determine the best course of action for the sector to minimize the operating costs with the internal power distribution grids.
