Abstract With an increasing tendency of vehicle consumption and the huge ownership in Chinese market, the sustainability requirement and circular economy motivate end-of-life vehicle (ELV) management practices for industrial auto-factories. To assist auto-industries achieve to sustainability, the 4R (reuse, recovery, remanufacturing and recycling operations) oriented ELV recycling process is developed and designed in this paper. In addition, the multiple factors influencing disassembilitiy and the 4R feasibility (reusability, recoverability, re-manufacturability and recyclability) of ELV parts are addressed, facilitating to the feasibility evaluation and sustainable practices performed by the resources renewable organizations.
