| Abstract |
It is notable concern for excessive consumption and its harmful effects on sustainable development worldwide. Understanding that you cannot stop consuming, sustainable consumption is effective because it takes into account the principles of sustainability. The study aims to analyze the determinants of sustainable consumption present in college students. The method adopted was quantitative and survey research, conducted in two higher education institutions (HEI) of the Vale do Itaja in Santa Catarina. The model used was adapted from Ribeiro and Veiga (2011) and 290 students of business administration course were surveyed. The results show that the Frugality has a good explanatory power of the construct sustainable consumption, unlike Recycling that had a low explanatory power. |
