Abstract |
Concepts like 'Green' has become pivotal in today's world where sustainable service delivery has become the most sought after objective. Application of green-practices (GP) and IT-enabled practices (ITEP) have been gaining importance across industry sectors and healthcare sector happens to be under scanner as one of the most lucrative sectors to investigate such relationships. Practitioner and contemporary academic literature suggest that indeed GP and ITEP applications are the two major enablers of today's healthcare business; boosting the overall service-oriented capabilities of the patient-care service providers; in turn proving itself key towards achieving better patient-focused care delivery and also boosting hospital's performance. This study carries out an empirical investigation to understand the linkages of the aforesaid relationships using data from two sources in Indian healthcare context: hospital-side and patient-side data. The study uses standard statistical techniques including confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modelling (SEM) to test the hypothesised path linkages. |
