Abstract This research investigates the interplay of digital organizational culture (DOC), absorptive capacity (AC), supply chain resilience (SCR), and sustainable business performance (SP) in Mexican manufacturing industries based on the theory of dynamic capabilities. The study addresses the need to enhance supply chain resilience while considering social, environmental, and economic aspects, especially in view of the vulnerabilities caused by COVID-19 pandemic. While previous studies have examined SCR, DOC and AC individually, there is a gap in the literature regarding an integrated model. This research aims to fill this gap by analysing the relationships between DOC and AC, their impact on SCR and SP. Through an empirical study (304 observations), this research provides valuable insights into these constructs in a developing economy like Mexico, where the manufacturing sector holds significant economic importance. This research uses the partial least squares technique to shed light on risk mitigation and sustainability strategies. The results show that DOC has positive effects on dynamic capabilities (AC and SCR) and performance. Moreover, the indirect effects analysis concludes that DOC significantly impacts SP through the improvement this culture provokes in AC and SCR. The findings will assist practitioners and policymakers develop strategies to strengthen SCR and promote sustainable business practices, ensuring preparedness for future disruptions.
