Abstract The article presents the results' of a meta-analysis of more than 200 scientific publications. The analysis shows that academic discussion lacks systematized findings about the business and management success factors relevant to contemporary organisations. Thus the author defines the success factors that are common to the organizations from an intercultural and intercontinental perspective, and distinguish the term management-in-organization, which is directed to the quality of internal organizational processes, and the term management-of-organization, which is linked to the business general achievements. It is assumed that the practice of managing-in-organization has the biggest influence on the completion of an organization's goals and implementation of its functions, whereas balanced, sufficient and systematic attention for management-in-organization and management-of-organization is the most important factor for organization's success and sustainability in a long-term perspective. The proposed model of the influence of organization management success factors on organization's sustainability clarifies the interrelation between concepts.
