Abstract |
On December 28 of 2015 in Italy has been established a new kind of company named for Benefit Company (fBComp). fBComp are for-profit companies that decide to consider, in their Statute, the impact of their decisions both on society and on shareholders. According to the authors the fBComp can be viewed as an organization that to survive decides to reach a social legitimation condition creating isomorphic conditions in social and economic contexts. The authors analyze the fBComp as a "social" and business model (SBM), that could be considered an evolution of the Corporate Social Responsibility phenomenon. The paper objective is to open a scientific and methodological discussion about the contribution that the company social behavior can give at the sustainable survival in a, also social, co-creation approach. The main contributions concerning this topic make an analysis on the practical applications of the concept of business for-benefit. The paper shows a desk analysis, based on the results of the first Italian Report of fBComp, to find out its main feature and how or if it would impact in the action of management practices and in the shareholder field. |
