| Abstract |
The scientific paper is focused on the analysis of the conditions in which the social enterprise in the market economy operates, pointing out its sustainability and resistance to other competitors on the market. Based on facts and data obtained from the Register of Social Enterprises, the authors compare the specific activity of social enterprises. The benefit of the contribution is to point out the fact that enterprises of this type contribute to the development of employment of disadvantaged and vulnerable persons, thereby strengthening social, economic and territorial cohesion. The purpose of the scientific contribution is to open a discourse on the importance of social enterprises that have a societal significance and are part of the social economy. At the same time, the authors point out the fact that even social enterprises can carry out their activities in accordance with the goals of sustainable business and development within the European Economic Area. |
