| Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to prepare an analysis of the objectives proposed in the 2014-2020 development strategy of Mihai Viteazu Township, using the SOWT model. The intended effects are to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Mihai Viteazu Township, so the best alternatives are in the short term to increase the financing rate of the works in progress and to prepare major medium- and long-term infrastructure projects in energy, communications, agriculture, health, sports and education meant to have a special impact on local development. Tourism, too, is a viable alternative with great resources and can be a sustainable industry. Support for this branch by European rural development programmes can lead to additional revenue for farms located in high potential areas. The programmes that Mihai Viteazu supported for the business environment in the tourism and tourism sector consist of granting fiscal facilities and exemptions from taxes and duties. |
