| Abstract |
This article presents a discussion about the relationship between fashion and the environment, starting from the concepts of ultra-fashion, fast fashion, and slow fashion, considering the impacts caused by the fashion sector, presenting data regarding the disposal of post-consumer items and making a comparison between cotton fibers and polyester and the environmental impact of both. Considering the limitations of the environment and the forms of production and consumption, as well as the processes and materials used within the textile sector, it is necessary to promote an intense change in the form of consumption and disposal of products. |
