| Abstract |
Resource Based Vision aspires to explain the internal sources of a company's sustainable competitive advantage. This article aims to identify and analyze the resources that generate competitive advantages of a maritime port located in the Northeast, for which a case study was carried out and the VRIO model was applied. The key sources of identified competitive advantage were the natural position, customer relationships and reputation. The findings also point to the importance of the cargo flow infrastructure, and we argue that government should invest in the recovery and modernization of such resources, since this fact would positively impact the economic development of the region. |
