| Abstract |
This article analyses how the project manager and project management methodologies are used in the agricultural supply chain. The methodological approach was a systematic literature review based on bibliometric techniques, network analysis, and content analysis. The literature analysis reveals that despite the constant use of projects as a way of obtaining strategic results for the agricultural supply chain and the use of project management techniques and tools by this community, there is no mention of the role of the project manager and very little of the use of methodologies showing a low level of maturity in terms of project management. As a practical application, this paper exposes the need to discuss traditional models of the structure of the agricultural supply chain, suggesting the inclusion of the project manager as an agent of business integration. The originality of this paper is reviewing the role of both project management and the project manager in the agricultural market. |
