| Abstract |
More than ever before, turbulent economic environment is looking for the answers to the question: whay some companies are more successful than others. Why some companies are able to achieve sustainable growth over decades and why some stars are not able to cope with disruptive innovations and market changes? Our long term research shows some basic parameters which are influencing sustainable business development. Altough the research has been done in the years preceeding the current unstable environment the model which has been developed is answering majority of questions managers are asking in these days. Wood processing industry is among those hardly hit by the world crisis. The IMP model has proved with specific project in Italy that is suitable for this sector and we draw recommendations based on this model for those who want to float over the hard times strengthened. |
