Abstract |
The article aims to analyze the eco-innovation process in a company specialized in the jeans segment, which adopts the upcycling technique, based on the model proposed by Bocken et al. (2014). A descriptive and exploratory case study was conducted using semi-structured interviews and document analysis. The unit of analysis was a fashion company located in Rio de Janeiro-RJ, which has jeans as its raw material for making new pieces of clothing and accessories. The results show that the company has aspects for its development as a sustainable business, with emphasis on the archetype creating value from waste, in line with the company's purpose to deconstruct jeans for the construction of new parts and accessories. It is concluded that the researched company contemplates the archetypes of the adopted model adding environmental and social value in the manufactured products. |
