Abstract The technology management process just seems to be easy and simple to do. However, it requires performing many tasks that make it more complicated. This problem is not limited to determining the amount, correct valuation, technology and its commercialization readiness (TRL), but above all to verify the the possibility of its absorption by the small company in Poland. In this process both technology itself and the company's resources assessment of the entity in terms of its ability to implement new technology and the ability of the company to use the acquired technology in the process of creating and selling innovation are important. In the process of technology management significant role plays changing company's environment. Good example is rising of new paradigms like Circular Economy or Sustainable Development. Which are expected to have a significant impact on business competitiveness in not only a domestic but also international scope. Such paradigms, on a one hand, will force the intensification of companies needs in the fields of acquisition of new technologies or advanced raw materials and increase the scope of innovation in business models. the aim of the paper is to present selected research results in the field of enterprise innovation
