| Abstract |
The circular economy (CE) would create socially and economically stable and sustainable business by resolving challenges like shortage of virgin material, environmental pollution and climate change, generation of huge municipal waste, shortage of fossil fuel, price volatility for material and energy loss in existing production and consumption system. Literature proposes tremendous benefits of CE which pin point existing linear economic system to adopt changes and move towards CE model. For Indian manufacturing organizations (IMOs), CE will produce a sustainable business model in production and consumption in a comprehensive and practical way. Many authors have defined CE as per their understanding and circumstances where they have tried to cover various dimensions related to CE. The aim of this paper is to create fundamental understanding regarding CE concept by analyzing various definitions given by of the (CE) and to discover various dimensions coverage by authors under these definitions. |
