Abstract |
In the times of substantial pollution of the environment and excessive and irrational utilization of the fossil fuels the circular economy is the chance for better tomorrow for current and future generations. To make the change from the linear economy to the circular economy possible, two crucial conditions have to be implemented. One of them is for appropriate production, the second for proper consumption. Consumers have to treat the waste as a raw materials that can be re-used returning to the circulation. To change the approach of the society regarding this problem it is crucial to intensify and adjust ecological education to our needs. Prior to adjusting the methods of education it is important to examine the level of ecological awareness of the society and determine the missing aspects. In this article we present the results of surveys conducted on two age groups: teenagers and adults. The survey concerned about pro environmental behaviour and overall knowledge about waste. Given the results, it can be concluded that there are major differences in the knowledge between two examined age groups. |
