Title Challenges of A Highly Competitive Economy - Social Responsibility and Innovation
Year 2019
Published
Abstract The article analyses the economic models that are adaptable to the new challenges brought by a highly competitive economy, namely the new trends generated by the new socio-economic context, with an accent on circular economy. The analysis was performed by means of a study regarding the adoption of new economic models (the circular model) by companies belonging to the Romanian textile-garments sector and the future directions in this area. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for adopting creative solutions in order to reintroduce textile waste in the value chain. The work underlies the need of knowing and being aware of the importance of adopting economic models that are in tune with the concept of social responsibility.
