Year 2024
Published Revista Tecnologia E Sociedade, 20, 60
Abstract Researchs on credit unions are important for reassessing current production models and their impacts, thus aligning organizational management with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) indicators. The current scenario highlights the transition from a linear economy to a circular economy as an imperative need to ensure the continuity of sustainable production and consumption processes. The objective of this research is to investigate and propose strategies for credit cooperatives to encourage and support the creation and expansion of businesses focusing on circularity. This study adopted a qualitative research approach, with the research methods used being literature review and documentary analysis. It was found that financing can be provided, primarily for micro and small enterprises, agribusiness and startups while considering the issues and principles of the circular economy. It is expected that the results of this article will contribute to the development of instruments that enable the issuance of sustainable bonds and the provision of credit to companies with circular business models, thus promoting a business environment more aligned with the principles of sustainability and the circular economy.
